Line of Sight

It is common to be asked questions such as "From Point A, which of the following would be visible?"

How to answers these types of questions:
  • Find the original location, i.e "From PointA"
  • Find the other locations in the multiple choice question
  • Draw straight lines from the original point to each of the locations in the question.
  • Determine the height of the original location
  • Determine the height of the other 4 locations.
  • Examine the line to each point. If there is a higher point along the line then the original point, then you would not be able to see this point.
